Come and explore the beauty of Mid-Wales.
The cabin is located in the peaceful hamlet of Tylwch in the stunning Mid-Wales countryside. It is just over 3 miles from Llanidloes and 9 miles from Rhayader. There are many dog friendly cafes and restaurants in both towns.
Llanidloes is at the heart of the ancient medieval kingdom of Arwystli; the first town on the River Severn and the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains of mid Wales in the United Kingdom.
First town on the River Wye, Rhayader is home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys.
For centuries Gilfach was a working hill farm, now it's a spectacular nature reserve tucked away in the Marteg Valley in the heart of rural Mid Wales. Dogs need to be on leads as there is livestock.
Hafren Forest is also home to many public footpaths and bridleways. The longest route takes you to the source of the Severn, just outside the forest’s boundary. The shorter trail goes to waterfalls within the forest, including the famous Severn-Break-its-Neck.
Llyn Clywedog has marked walking trails which highlight the breath-taking scenery and stunning views of the dam itself. Around the Lake there are a number of quiet, rural walks including the Clywedog Gorge Trail around the Bryn Tail Mine workings and the Llyn Clywedog Scenic Trail. Buzzards and Red Kite are now a common sight, and recently there have even been occasional sightings of Ospreys that are known to nest in the area.
